Makool Loves You.

22 08 2008

I had the chance again the other day to get back out and shoot with Makool Loves You.  I had another great time hanging out with Anisa(designer), Anna(make-up), Heather(model) and my wife Eulalie(stylest) during the shoot.  Here are some of the images from that shoot.

I really feel that the United States of America is an amazing place and love driving or roads discovering new spots.  Today I got all stoked on those trips while listening to George Thorgood.

External Drive Archive

I just got back home today from a quick trip to Michigan…well the time I spent in Michigan was quick but it took me a total of about 36 hours in travel time!  Yeah that is the great thing about summer airline travel.  Anyway I will be posting something from that adventure here soon but I wanted to post a couple of shots I came across on my external drive.  These are two shots of Robbie Sell from last seasons Coal ad campaign that I shot in my studio.  Robbie is a good friend, old roommate and one hell of a photog check out his new site.

Photo recap from COC part I

I recently got done editing with the last few weeks of photos which included our amazing trip to COC, thank you Fabia and all the staff up there. Take a peek at what the Nitro/Pleasure Week looked like.

IRON MAIDEN at the WHITE RIVER AMPHITHEATER

5 08 2008

One of the best shows I’ve seen hands down, it was a mix of theatrical performance and metal. A bunch of the Nitro riders and friends including Tonino Copene, Jon Kooley, and Jordan Mendenhall drove from SLC in the new Nitro Subaru Team car(aka the embaresser). Austin Smith, Bryan Fox and Curtis Ciszek came on down from HCSC at Hood. We made a quick stop at the Battle Ground skate park to skate a bit which is turn into a good habit every time we drive from PDX north.  Anywhoo… back to Maiden, the show it was fucking awesome!  They played some new songs but still rifled out the classics like RUN TO THE HILLS, FEAR OF THE DARK, TWO MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT, ACES HIGH and RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER.

Another wild week in the saddle of life is behind me and I’m now geared up for the next.  The past week I finally met up with a friend of mine from Michigan that I had lost touch with over the last 12 years or so.  Anisa Makool is living here in Portland and is a fashion designer if you get a chance check out her work and blog. We got together to shoot some of her new styles, here is a peek at that…more photos coming soon!

project: americana

1 08 2008

Every since 9/11 I have been looking closer at what it means to be an American, researching this through my lens and also finding out what America means to me as well as my other country men.  Although the USA does some messed up things and I don’t always agree with our political powers, I can still say that I’m proud to be a citizen of the United States of America. Here are a few images of Americana that I have found through my research.
